At Studio 5•6•7•8, we are committed to providing a high-quality dance education in a professional and focused learning environment. One important aspect of maintaining this standard is adhering to a class dress code. A consistent dress code helps create structure, reduces distractions, promotes safety, and allows instructors to properly observe and correct dancers’ technique, including posture, alignment, and precise movements—details that can be obscured by loose or oversized clothing.
Below is a list outlining the required attire for all dancers. For those attending back to back classes in one evening, we ask that they attire that can be worn to all classes to avoid changing between class.
Fitted athletic tanks or tops paired with leggings are acceptable alternatives to a bodysuit for most styles. As a general guideline: tops should meet the waistband of bottoms and vice versa. Please note that bodysuits are mandatory for all Ballet classes.
All the items listed can be purchased at “Starburst Dancewear” located at 1175 Wilson Street East, Ancaster. 905-304-0169
• Not chew gum in class
• Remove all dangling jewelry
• Not be disruptive in class
No provocative clothing is allowed at any time. The studio reserves the right to remove a student from class if he/she is not following the dress code.
